I've been running on and off over the last wek or so, nothing worth writing about. I picked up a book called Marathoning for Mortals, and it suggests a run/walk approach... 5 min run, 1 min walk. I did that tonight for the first 15 minutes (18 I guess including the walk) and I really went further and faster than I would have straight running. Still slower than snail shit, but faster than my usual. After the first 15 minutes, I felt really good, so I just kept on going at that pace and even picked it up a little bit. Started coughing, then I gagged, and shot a stream of puke in the middle of a dark street I was running on, but it didn't slow me down a bit.
Pretty gross, huh?
Tomorrow's an off day, and then we're doing a 12 on Saturday. I think 18 the next week, and then the first official half marathon in Dallas on November 1. That 26.2 is going to be here before you know it.
