Sure is a good morning here,
Posting for the first time from the the official Ben Wright World Headquarters
(also known as home). going to enjoy my time off work for a week and a half until
I start my new job, get ready for the baby to get here.
I'm sure it has something to do with the connection, but the web is a little
slower here than it was at the sweat shop, I'll have to see what I can do to get
this rolling.

Mandy's in that stage known as "nesting" that goes on right before you
have a baby... Running 1000mph doing one thing after another, and I'm
in the stage called "being lazy and enjoying sleep." It's actually working
pertty good, because I'd end up being in her way as fast as she's moving.

You people at work enjoy your day. I'll make sure I enjoy mine.

welp, here i am. last day on the job.
cleaned out my desk, got one thing to do out in the field.
got the new guy trained.
i'm going to have to start blogging from home, wonder how
that'll make things different.
no "last day of work" pranks or anything,
i did get my severance pay against their desire,
but part of the employee handbook will have to be
re-written. it's always good to have a lawyer friend that
can bail out out when you're in trouble, and hook you
up when you think you're right.

only the best for those Happy Days...

Monday, September 23, 2002

Lately, I haven't had a whole lot to say.

haven't been doing much songwriting, haven't got any gigs planned.

I am working on one Secret Project, and I have a child on the way. Any day now.

Don't know what it is, but we've got boy and girl names picked out.

Just found out a freind's got diabetes, and I'm slightly inspired to improve my lifestyle.

I start a new job soon, and Wednesday's my last day here.

I've either got indigestion right now, or I'm having a heart attack (I'm not worried, it's the far right side that hurts).

I know how many thousands of people in this world rely on this site for their daily
allowance of knowledge, intellegence, wit, and joy. And all these thousands of people
are my subjects in the land of Nowhere, and they have been doing a good job of
being nobody's and getting nothing done. Unfortunately, due to their lack of activity,
they have started to slide into the mainstream society and the borders have
pretty much dissolved.

So, if you're looking for something New to Know, I would check out this review of Scott Copeland's
Latest CD.

Until the, I will work on my Secret Project and the world will continue to be in the
Top 5 planets in the solor system.

You know you've heard how word of mouth can be the best tool anywhere for promotion,
or the worst when something goes wrong. I am the worst to complaing and let everyone
know about stuff when it's bad, and I always froget when it is good. Today, I will spread
the good word.
Mandy and I ate at Reata Saturday night, and it was by far the best food and service I have had
in a long time. The service was great, and it was very reasonably priced considering how nice it was.
I had the stuffed pork chops (who's dancing now, pig?) with green beans and mashed potatoes. Mandy had the Poblano Relleno, and we shared a roasted quail appatizer. Man,
it was goood. Really really good, and I will definitely go back. The service was great, as well, and even
though it's not at the top floor of the old bank building, it still has a great atmosphere, which could be casual or
upscale, depending on you mood.
I give it a 9.9 out of a possible 10.
